My company “CareerNavigation” is the launchpad for students for their journey to self-discovery. The objective of my organization is to help students find out the career that matches their personality and aptitude. On this basis when they decide on their career path, the possibility of success increases manifold. With the paradigm shift in the job front and altered scenario in the work culture, a new-edge scientific method supported by technology is required to let our young minds, first acknowledge and then explore the possibilities for their future.  My objective is to make counselling a regular and essential part of every student’s life by keeping it affordable, so as to make them capable of taking conscious and informed decision and show them the path to achieve their desired destination. My motto is to empower students with their choices. Being aware of the confusion students encounter after 10th and 12th, I would like to be the candle that lights up the path to a future of not only success but also self-satisfaction.

Suman Amitav Satpathy is a Career Counsellor who believes in sharing her knowledge and experience with students in order to guide them towards a planned and successful future.

Holding a Post Graduate degree in Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (IT), Suman pursued a bright career in the corporate field. Being trained with powerhouses like Larsen and Toubro Ltd, Kansbahal, Odisha and OCL India Ltd Rajgangpur, Odisha, gave her tremendous exposure and insights into work culture and ethics. Her love for working with people and understanding their needs paved the way to become an HR assistant in Aptec Ltd, Hyderabad. This work experience has strategically enabled her to identify the skills that are practically needed in the workplace, which she believes can be disseminated and gradually developed in students. 

Her work experience in Aptec acted as a bridge for her, to switch her attention to the education field for fulfilling her passion to work with young minds. Thus apart from her remarkable experience in management, she has an impressive record in the education industry with over 15 years of teaching experience. A decade of working hands-on with students helped her develop a rapport and understanding of student’s needs which are great assets to any Career Counsellor. Her work methodology is to focus on individualistic needs. As she quotes “When we pay keen attention to an individual’s personality, need and potential, and guide them in the career path accordingly, the child has a greater opportunity to shine because the work is cohesive to their interests”. She is a firm believer in career guidance and reiterates the same by inculcating soft skills in students to help them think out of the box. Above all, she is always at the forefront of providing counselling according to each individual’s need and potential.
